A few months ago, I decided to apply for a new water connection from the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB). I initially got confused because of all the different kinds of charges involved. So I did some research on CMWSSB new connection charges, and after going through the details, I found it to be simple to understand.
What are the New Connection Charges of CMWSSB?
I found out that the costs for a water connection depend on the location of the property for a standard domestic connection.
For residential service sewer connections, the CMWSSB has set the price at Rs. 24,500 for pipelines with a diameter of 110 mm and Rs. 26,500 for those with a diameter of 140 mm. The expenses cover labor and material costs.
One aspect that I found especially helpful was the option to pay these charges in installments. This flexibility allowed me to manage my finances in a better way without feeling burdened by a large upfront payment.
