Hello! We renovated our 2 BHK house in April last year. I always wanted a fancy false ceiling in the living area of our house. So, we contacted a few home renovation companies and asked about the false ceiling cost for 12x12 room. 

After talking to some of them and finally renovating our house, I can share the details with you here. 

What is the Cost of a False Ceiling for a 12x12 Room?

The current rates of false ceilings in India range between Rs. 55 and Rs. 195 per square foot. Now, for a ceiling with 12x12 dimensions, the square footage comes out to be 144 square feet.

The final price comes out to be Rs. 7,920 as the starting. 

This is just one component. There would be additional elements which you need to consider for the pricing. 

What are the Factors to Consider for the Cost of False Ceiling?

  1. The material: The type of material you’re using for the false ceiling, for example, POP, gypsum, wood or others would alter the rates.

  2. Installation and labour costs: The installation cost reduces with the quantity of the work, but the labour cost increases at the same time.

  3. The Distance: The distance between the original and the artificial ceiling is another factor. The lower the height of the artificial ceiling, the greater the price.

  4. The LED: The kind of LED light you choose is yet another determinant. 

  5. The City: Cities in India have different rates. 

So, consider all these elements when you calculate the rates. This is all from my side. I hope it helps.
