What is the House Construction Cost Per Square Feet in Chennai?

The Chennai house construction cost per square feet usually remains between Rs 1,800 and Rs 2,400 per sq ft. Here is an approximate estimate of the construction cost for different types of work on a 2,000 sq ft house:

• Land Cost: Rs 40,00,000 (will vary depending on the location)

• Construction Cost: Rs 30,00,000 (if we take Rs 1,500 per sq ft * 2,000 Sq ft)

• Architectural cost: Rs 2,00,000 (around 5% of the total construction cost)

• Approval charges: Rs 1,00,000

• Foundation and Structural Costs: Rs 3,00,000

• Interior Designing: Rs 5,00,000

• Additional Cost: Rs 2,00,000

And add around 10% of the budget to some extra charges so that will be Rs 4,00,000. Add these up and you will find the total cost to construct a house and make it liveable. As per this calculation, the cost will be around Rs 87,00,000.
