The Credit Link Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) that provides a home loan subsidy interest on purchase, construction, extension, and improvement of their home is called the Pradhan Mantri Yojana or PMAY Scheme. The PMAY scheme is divided into two groups- Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Middle Income Group (MIG) I, Middle Income Group (MIG) II.
Eligibility Criteria For PMAY scheme:
- Anyone can apply for the economically Weaker Section (EWS), with an annual income between Rs. 3,000001 to Rs. 6,00000.
- Anyone can apply for the Middle-income Group (MIG) I, with an annual income between Rs. 6,00,001 to Rs. 12,00,000.
- Anyone can apply for the Middle-income Group (MIG) II, with an annual income between Rs. 12,00,001 to Rs. 18,00,000.
- Any adult irrespective of their marital status can apply for the PMAY scheme.
- Those who already own a home or any of their family members own a home cannot apply for the PMAY scheme.
- Any family owning a pucca house is kept out of the PMAY benefits.
- Children living with their parents can apply for the PMAY scheme if they are earning and don't want any other home.
