I was planning to get my bathroom remodeled, but before that I wanted to learn about which parts would cost me more. I called a friend and asked him about what's the most expensive part of a bathroom renovation. I asked him because he got his bathroom remodeled a few months back. Here is what he told me.
What is the Most Expensive Part of A Bathroom Remodel? My friend told me that there are three things that can make bathroom remodeling prices go up. Here are those.
- Flooring
He told me that flooring is the most expensive part of bathroom remodel. The price goes higher if I choose premium materials like stone tiles or hardwood. If the bathroom floor requires a lot of prep work, then the installation cost can go quite up as well.
- Moving Fixtures
He suggested that I avoid moving my toilet or sink, as this can add a huge amount to the overall cost. He said that moving the toilet or sink includes a lot of plumbing work, and it will require the help of a professional. Also, connecting the toilet to the existing sewer line can be a bit tricky for the plumber.
- Cabinetry And Vanity
According to him, top-notch finishes and hardware will inflate the budget. I was informed that there are two types of cabinets, Stock and Custom. If I plan to choose custom cabinets then I have to shell out two or three times the cost of a stock cabinet.
And that is all about what's the most expensive part of a bathroom renovation. I hope this helps.
