A pattadhar passbook (PPB) is a type of document that contains all of the information about the landowner. It is basically a legal document that certifies a person's ownership of real estate. This passbook is issued by revenue officials in accordance with the Record of Rights Act. It includes the landowner's signature or thumbprint as proof of title, a passport-sized photo, and owner's address, etc. The latest pattadhar passbook (e-title deed-cum-Pattadar passbook), also comprises the Tahsildars' digital signature. Owners must use the Pattadhar Passbook as proof of ownership and for other important legal and financial purposes.
