Hey,

By paying betterment fees, property owners with a "B-Khata certificate" can now obtain a "A-Khata certificate" from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). All "A-Khata" properties have legitimate papers that have been authorised by government agencies.

By providing owners with legal certificates called khatas and property identification numbers (PID), the Karnataka government has suggested regularising properties in the state's capital city Bengaluru.
