Hi,

If I am not wrong, ‘World One’ is the tallest building in India. It has been constructed by the Lodha Group on the 7.1 hectare site of the defunct Shrinivas Mill, which is located in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The site was purchased by the Lodha Group in 2005 and the World One project was announced in 2010. Now that you know what is the tallest building in India, let us look at some of its features as well.

What is the biggest building in India - Some Facts

In 2010, the group proposed to build a 501.33 m tall building but it did not get the approval from the Airports Authority of India. Then in 2015, a 442 m height proposal was also rejected. In 2018, it got the approval for 285.06 m and it was redesigned accordingly.

The tallest building contains 117 floors and 290 apartments. Some of its apartments are Arabian Sea facing. The tower includes a swimming pool, a health club, a gym, a pavilion and cricket pitches too.

The cost to build World One was approximately US$321 million. UAE based Arabian Construction Company and Simplex Infrastructure were awarded the contract to construct the biggest building in India. The building’s interiors were designed by Giorgio Armani.

The price of an apartment in the highest tower in India starts at Rs 150 million for 3 BHK. The tower consists of 3 and 4 BHK apartments.

Under this project, there are two more towers: World View and World Crest. World View is the second tallest building in India.

I really find this information interesting, I hope you do too and I sincerely hope that your query what is the tallest building in India is resolved now.
