What is ticket size in real estate?

While buying a property you not only need to pay a huge amount of money for your flat, you also need to pay for stamp duty, registration fees, maintenance charges. You will also come across the term ticket size for which you have to pay a price.

The ticket size is the total cost of the property at the basic price including the additional charges required.

For instance, let’s say you purchased a property of 1000 sq ft and the basic sale price of the property is 3000 per sqft. So, the total cost of the property is Rs. 30 lac including the additional charges (car park charges, club membership charges, EDC/IDC, IFMS etc ) - 2 lac to 5 lac { depends on property to property}.

So, the amount payable to the seller or the builder is the ticket size. But this does not include the registration charges.

If you are interested in investing in real estate consider ticket size and other charges such as transaction costs, returns, ease of investing, taxation, and other factors.

Hope you understand the ticket size meaning in real estate.
