We all know that it was somewhat made compulsory in India to issue the Aadhar card and provide relevant information as requested by the government for this purpose. It is the abbreviation for the Unique Identification Authority of India, a statutory authority established on 12th July 2016 under the provisions of Aadhar by the government of India. 

What is UIDAI Number?

The UIDAI number is a 12 digit number in the Aadhar Card that is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India on behalf of the government. This number is unique and an individual identification number. This number serves as a proof of identity and address of a person anywhere in India.

How to know the UID number?

Generally we all have registered our mobile number with the Aadhar Card so you can easily get the UID number in simple steps as follows:

  • Go to

UIDAI.gov.in website or

https://resident.UIDAI.gov.in/lost-uideid

  • Select Aadhar Enrolment Tab

  • Click on Retrieve Lost UID/EID

  • Provide the required information

  • Verify Captcha and select send OTP

  • Enter the OTP and select submit
