In rural areas you will witness that almost all the houses there have a lot of space in front of their house or on the sides. Maybe the lands are cheap there and so people buy huge lands but in urban areas, you won’t get that luxury unless you are very rich. I love plants and whenever I get time, I go and buy plants. I don’t have any garden since I live in a 2BHK flat but I have decorated my balcony as much as I can.

During lockdown I saw my neighbours going for vertical gardening. We were asked to stay indoors as much as possible hence had to look at my friend from a distance. For days I saw her spending time on soil making, plating tiny trees and more. One day I called her and asked what are you upto. She said she is going to do vertical gardening and then only I asked what is vertical garden concept. I learnt several things about it, so let me share everything.

Vertical Gardening

Vertical Gardening refers to a special kind of garden that is mostly seen in urban areas and is done in small spaces. Such gardens are mostly for decorative purposes. It is basically a vertically suspended panel on which plants are grown using hydroponics. They can be both freestanding or attached to a wall. They are also known as living green walls, plant walls and moss walls.

Types of Vertical Gardening

There are 3 types of vertical gardening that are:
