In my opinion, it's best to pack the living room first. Thats the most used space in any household. Has important electronic gadgets like Television etc. Once the items are packed, it will create space for you to start packing up other rooms, and keep the packed stuff in the living room, everything at one place. I believe next should be the kitchen. If you are doing inter-city moving, always keep aside 2 pairs of spare dresses for every member in the household, some eatables, utensils for eating/cooking. Incase PnM gets delayed, you don't have to rush to the market for basic necessities.

Moving into a new home is exciting. If you don't pack your belongings in the right order, moving can turn into a nightmarishly stressful experience. I will share with you what room should you pack first when moving. You will need labels, bubble wrap, and cardboard boxes.

You should start with packing the least used room. It will be non-intrusive and you can with ease. For me, the least used room is the basement. I would suggest you determine the least used room in your house.

Storage:

Items that are prepacked in the store room, should be packed for moving as these items haven't been unpacked.

Master Bedroom:

You should pack most of your belongings from the main room/master bedroom. Just keep the daily essentials with you.

Season Items:

Pack the items which are used seasonally. If these items are not in season, pack them first. Eg, you can pack your wooden clothes, and coats while it's summer. This will keep you organised.

  Decor & Books:

You should pack decor and books, this includes aesthetic sculptures, artwork, decor, books, magazines, and the like.

  Jewellery and Shoes:

Most people tend to get shows and jewellery in abundance. Leaving these things to be packed, will lead to last-minute confusion and disorganisation.

  Remaining rooms:

You can pack the other rooms, including the kitchen. Keep minimum utensils with you and use disposable spoons, forks, and plates for day-to-day functioning.

Lastly, pack up all the remaining rooms. I would advise you to disard items that are broken or those which have started to look worn out. You can make a throw, donate and keep a pile for each room’s items.

This is all from my end on ‘which room to pack first when moving.
