Hi buddy,
As far as I know, you can use a conveyance deed for transferring the flat ownership and membership before the housing society is formed by the builder. A conveyance deed is a legal document that a builder is required to give while transferring the land ownership since a housing society you’re staying in is on the land purchased by the builder. After some time, the builder transfers the land ownership to the society that is formed which includes every owner of the building. Once the society has all the relevant documents, it can apply for the registration of the housing society.
However, I suggest you reach out to the MHADA office or call their customer care number (022-66405000 or 9869988000) to know the required details. You can also talk to your builder regarding this.
