I hate roaches. Absolutely detest them. When I saw two roaches scampering in my kitchen, I instantly got on my phone to book a professional pest control service for the next day. I asked my husband, what to do before pest control. I will share exactly what we did.

What to do before pest control sprays?

To prevent any contamination from the chemicals used during pest control. We removed all food items from the kitchen and placed them in sealed containers.
We cover all furniture, including sofas and chairs, with plastic covers or sheets to protect them from any spray residue. We also sealed any cracks or crevices from where roaches may be entering in the home
We cleared the floor of any toys, clothes, or other items that may obstruct the pest control team's work. All the clutter, including stacks of paper, cardboard boxes, and old newspapers, as these items provide hiding places for roaches were removed as well.
We emptied kitchen cabinets and drawers and wiped them down with a damp cloth. This will ensure that any eggs or larvae are eliminated during the treatment.
Next on what to do before pest control sprays for roaches is removing pets from the house, including birds and fish. If domesticated pets are left in the house, they might get sick after chemical exposure.
Once the procedure was complete, we opened all the windows and doors to allow for proper ventilation. If my answer on ‘what to do before pest control’ helps you, drop a comment below.
