You can seek a refund from the developer if the possession of the house or the flat is delayed beyond one year.
As per Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA),
A builder can get imprisonment for up to 3 years or a fine of up to 10% of the estimated cost of the project if he delays the project by a stipulated time.
