If you want to get good resale value for your property, fixing the floor, roof, bathroom, kitchen, electrical wirings, door and windows and paint is a must. However, the list does not end here. There are several other primary aspects that you need to consider. Let me just add them to his list.

1. Flooring:

   This is one of the most important things to fix. The resale value can increase a lot once you fix the flooring of the entire house. It can be a little bit of work, but cleaning, and replacing the flooring if needed can attract good rates.

2. Roof:

   Like the flooring, a house roof is like a fundamental element, which should be crack and damage-proof. Get the important waterproofing and repair work done for your house roof.

3. Bathrooms:

   These are again a crucial part of any house. You should check for leaks, crumbling paint, and any taps or toilet essentials to be repaired. Get the bathroom cleaned well and see the resale value of your house increase.

4. Kitchen:

   An area where my house buyer first looked at and was impressed was the kitchen. So, ensure you have an organised, leak-proof neat and clean kitchen. Look into the sink, taps or platforms during repair.

5. Dated Electrical:

   From a safety point of view, you should keep this as a priority. Call up an experienced electrician and get the electrical wiring of the whole house checked. Before selling the house, the electrical end should be well-protected and functioning. 

6. Doors and Windows:

   Check the doors and windows of the house and repair or replace them. They should open, and close without any hassle. Also, clean them well.

7. Paint:

   Get your whole house painted. Choose a neutral but appealing colour. Painting the house isn’t a highly expensive thing, but creates a great positive impact on the buyer.
