Which is Best Borewell Direction As Per Vastu ?

We had a borewell in our village house in

Nampally, Hyderabad

and we recently reconstructed it according to Vastu. My grandmother is an ardent follower of Vastu Shastra  and she believed that the correct placement of borewell is important for the well being of the family. I was curious to know more about it so she shared some valuable insights on borewell location as per Vastu.

What is the Ideal Bore Well Location As Per Vastu?

These are some essential Vastu tips and guidelines shared by my grandma on the placement of borewell,

• The well should be placed in the north east direction of the plot.

• Make sure the borewell is constructed away from toilets to keep the water clean.

• If you want to provide a fountain, it should be on the North or East side of the house. The distance from the main door to the borewell should be the minimum height of the door.

• Water tanks should not be provided in the North-East or North-West direction. 

• The wells should be exposed to the sun rays at least for six hours after the sunrise.

• You should avoid directions like South-East or South-West to construct a borewell as it is believed that placement of borewells in these directions are linked to negative energies and can cause health and financial problems.

• The centre of the plot, called as Brahmasthan, shouldn’t have heavy buildings or objects like borewells to maintain balance, as it is believed that the centre is the heart of the property and must remain open. 

These are some of the Vastu guidelines my grandmother told me. It is always recommended to place the borewell in the north-east directions. I hope this gives you some ideas on boring position as per vastu.

According to what I've found online, borewells should be constructed in the northeast direction of your house. Experts have implied that this placement brings prosperity, good health, and fame to family members. 

If your house faces another direction. I would still recommend constructing a well on the northeastern side of the plot. There is no specific Vastu for borewell in west facing house. You should conduct Bhoomi puja before the drilling begins. 

• If your house faces north, you can construct a bore well in the North corner of the house. This direction is considered to be auspicious.

• On the other end, having bore well in the south corner of the house is deemed to be inauspicious. It will cause financial problems, self destructive patterns to emerge in the family members. 

• Though you can place a strong tank on the south, west, or the southwest side of the house.
