The modular kitchen material name list is really long. The top three choices, however, are MDF, plywood and stainless steel. Most of the other material names have already been shared by the other commentators; hence, I will not repeat that. However, I would like to add two more names to the list: HDF-HMR and Solid Wood. I have a brief understanding of both of these materials so read about them next.

What is the Latest Material Used in Modular Kitchen?

The latest material that is used in modular kitchens is stainless steel. They provide a sleek and ultra-modern look to a kitchen and are highly durable. Some other options are MDF, plywood, PVC, granite and more. To add to the list, two more names are:

HDF-HMR:

HDF-HMR or High-Density Fibreboard High Moisture-Resistance is a great choice and material to use in modular kitchens. They are durable, water-resistant and strong. They are a bit expensive but totally worth the investment. In fact, they can hold screws much better than plywood and are often used along with MDF, wood and plywood.

Solid Wood

Solid wood is also a good choice to use in a modular kitchen. They are strong and durable but do need maintenance. You cannot wet them; install them if the wall is damp and need to clean them often. I personally will suggest not to opt for solid wood anymore but you can take your call and choose wisely.

Pretty sure you have got enough modular kitchen material details by now that can help you choose the best material. But for more suggestions, you can consult with a professional interior designer or renovator.

I hope I have answered your query well.

Hello Tripti, I saw you asking about the modular kitchen materials list and can help you with the same. I renovated my kitchen into a modular one last year and went through a few materials before deciding on one.

Which Material Used for Modular Kitchen?

Here are some of the materials which are used for a modular kitchen.

  1. MDF: This is a great option under budget with the ability to have any finish applied over it. It had great resistance against termites as it is engineered wood. Moreover, It does not crack with temperature change.

  2. Plywood: The strength of plywood is its greatest feature. It is on the expensive side and is also amongst the most popular materials for modular kitchens.

  3. Particle Board: This is the most cost effective option for a modular kitchen. The material is heavy and cannot support excessive weight. This material is good if the kitchen is going to be used only for light cooking.

So, these are some of the materials I am aware of. I hope you find this information useful.
