Which Type of Balcony is Best?

Two months back, I planned to revamp my space to add a balcony as it hadn’t been there earlier. So I called in professionals from NoBroker for advice and to work on my home. After seeing the home, they understood my home’s layout better and informed me which type of balcony is best for my household. He also informed me there are different balcony types. Some of them are Cantilevered Balcony, Juliet Balcony, Roof Terrace Balcony and so on.

• Juliet Balconies: Perfect for homes with limited space. These don’t extend outward but still let in light and air. For those who desire the sensation of a balcony without actually going outside, this is a low-maintenance, logical choice.

• Mezzanine Balconies: This indoor-outdoor style balcony might help you create a welcoming area in your house if you have a little additional space. I saw how it adds character without overwhelming the space.

• Loggia Balconies: This type blends indoors and outdoors. It’s more like an enclosed space that feels private and sheltered. I noticed how well it worked with homes where weather protection is needed, and it gave the space a stylish, almost Mediterranean vibe.

• Roof Terrace: If you have roof access, this option is fantastic. The professionals showed me how a roof terrace can be transformed into a relaxing outdoor lounge, ideal for larger homes or flats with good views.

After seeing all the options, the cantilevered style is what I think was best suited for me because of its simplicity and functionality. I hope this also helps you get an idea of which type of balcony is best for my household.
