Normally, the ASD amount appears just after the total billing amount at the bottom of your monthly electricity bill. To guarantee a constant supply of power, you should know how to pay additional security deposit electricity bill.

What is the process of additional security deposit electricity bill payment?

Just like a regular power bill, the Additional Security Deposit can be paid at Bangalore One centers or one of BESCOM's subdivisional offices.

Visit

www.bescom.co.in

and select the Online Payment to make an additional security deposit for electricity online. You will then be sent to the Quick Payment page. When asked to choose an option, choose ASD from the list of Pay Bill, ASD, ISD, and MSD options after entering your Account ID and the captcha. You can make the required payment after accepting the Terms & Conditions.

The landowner is responsible for paying the ASD in the case of a rented property. However, the choice of who would be responsible for payment would be up to the landlord and renter to make jointly. The tenant should ideally not be required to pay the ASD amount because, in the event that it was to be reimbursed, the landlord would get it.

I hope this helps you understand how to pay additional security deposit electricity bill.

A security deposit is just a backup for an electricity company. In case the owner of the flat fails to pay the electricity bill, then the security deposit money is used by the company. This security deposit has to be given to the company when the owner is applying for electricity in the house. So, even if a house is unfurnished, there has to be a power supply. Let me justify my answer about the additional security deposit electricity bill.

Who should pay ASD owner or tenant?

Normally, a landlord is an owner who is supposed to pay the security deposit on the electricity bill. Why? Because in the electricity bill the landlord’s name is always issued to signify that he is the owner of the house. Secondly, a landlord is supposed to apply for the electricity connection of the house. Thirdly, a landlord already charges a security deposit to the tenant because of wear or tear, failure of rent payment, or failure of utility bill payment. So, if the tenant fails to pay the electricity bill, the landlord can deduct the amount from the security deposit he/she has given while moving in. No need to pay the additional security deposit on the electricity bill along with the deposit money you can give while moving into your rented house/ apartment. So, the landlord should be responsible for ASD to be paid.

Although, check your rental agreement before signing it. If you have already signed the rental agreement as a tenant and in one of the clauses there is a mention of ASD bill to be paid by the tenant, then you have to pay for the security deposit on electricity bill.

I hope I was able to clear the doubt about the additional security deposit electricity bill.

Hey friend,

Usually any security deposit on an electricity bill is paid by the owner of the house. If you live in a rented house, it is the owner who will pay the additional security deposit and hand over the flat with 0 bill. The tenant will simply pay the bill incurred each month.

I hope this helps you.
