Around 2 days back, while I was trying to bake a cake in the oven. So, I turned on the switch and left it for a few hours. I came back hoping to find a finished cake, but the cake was unbaked. The first thing I checked was the switch, which was flipped. I turned it on again, and within a few seconds, it flipped. This happened a few times, and I called an electrician and asked why does my oven keep tripping?

Why Does Oven Keep Tripping?

The electrician visited me, and after checking the oven thoroughly, he told me it was being caused because of circuit overload. He said that this is one of the primary causes.

According to him, this occurs when an appliance needs more power than its circuit can handle. The usage of multiple devices on the same circuit at the same time results in this issue.

After this, the electrician checked if there were multiple appliances connected to the same plug point as the oven. There were a few others connected there, and he asked to disconnect them all. I did what he told me and started the oven again, and this time, the switch didn’t flip.

This is how my issue was resolved. If you are facing such an issue, I would suggest you hire an electrician rather than researching and trying to find a solution on your own.
