Why Is My Samsung AC Not Cooling?

Hello Deepak, we have a Samsung AC in our living room and a month ago, we went through the same problem. Upon calling the technician, we found out why my Samsung inverter AC is not cooling. I’ll share the reasons we were told by the technician for the inability of the AC to cool properly.

Why Samsung AC is Not Cooling?

1. One of the reasons could be that the cooling mode has not been set to a cold temperature. This affects the AC's performance.

2. The second reason is that the room is much bigger than the power of the AC, appropriate for the room.

3. If your AC has been installed in the corner of the room, the cooling effect won’t be as strong as expected. 

So, these are the reasons behind your Samsung AC not cooling issue. 

How to Check if Your Samsung AC has a Cooling Problem?

1. Firstly, ensure that the cool mode is selected and the temperature is set on Auto. 

2. Check that the front of the interior and outdoor units have no obstacles. If there are any objects, they will restrict the AC from inhaling enough air.

3. Wash the air filter every now and then. If you find the filter polluted, the cooling efficiency is lower.

Hi, I bought a Samsung AC a few months back, and last week, it wasn't cooling my room properly. So, to know about the Samsung AC cooling problem, I hired a technician from NoBroker. After he started checking for the issue, I asked him why it was happening. Here is what he told me. 

Why is My Samsung AC Not Cooling?

According to him, there are multiple reasons why my Samsung AC is not cooling.

• Unclean Air Filter

He told me that my issue was due to unclean air filters. In this case, the air filter gets clogged, and the air doesn't flow properly. 

• Setting the Right Temperature

According to him, lots of times, people don’t set the right temperature, and thus the cooling effect is less. 

• Cleaning the Outdoor Unit

The technician told me that the outdoor unit also gets dirty over time and cleaning it is very necessary for proper cooling effects. 

• Outdoor Unit Near Obstacles

Another reason mentioned by him was obstacles near the outdoor unit. He said that the outdoor unit needs to be placed where there are fewer obstacles. 

While doing these, he went on to clean the air filter to solve the Samsung air conditioner not cooling issue. 

• He turned off the AC and removed the filter. 

• After that, he used a vacuum to lift the allergens. He then used a microfiber cloth to clean the dust off the frame. 

• Now, he washed the filter gently under the outdoor hose. 

• Finally, he reinstalled the filter back. 

And that is how the Samsung AC cooling problem was solved.
