Why isn’t my Snake plant growing? Hey everyone! I have recently started gardening and for the easiest way, I chose saplings over seeds. So I bought some organic plants online including a beautiful snake plant. It grew very well and also produced many little pups. Before 2 months, I thought of propagating my snake plant using these pups and I separated it and kept in a water jar. It developed roots and I transferred it in pot. And now it has stopped growing! However it hasn’t died as well. What could be the possible reason for this? Am I missing something or Is it always in the case of snake plants?

Hi Buddy,

A snake plant cannot grow because of the frigid temperatures, low light levels, and shorter day lengths that have caused it to enter a dormant state. If the room temperature is above 16 degrees and there are enough hours of brilliant indirect sunlight, snake plants will only grow visibly.

Your snake plant probably needs more light or needs to be watered more carefully if it isn't growing at all. Stress, which can be brought on by the plant being rootbound or experiencing root rot, pests, or disease, will also cause snake plants to stop developing. Personally, my snake plant started growing properly after almost 9-10 months.

I hope this helps:)
