There can be several reasons why Panasonic AC not turning on. When our Panasonic AC was not working properly, we hired a professional and learned that the clogged air filters were hampering the AC’s performance. He cited several other reasons why your AC is not turning on so let me share a few reasons here.

Why Panasonic Air Conditioner not Turning on?

There can be several reasons why your AC is not turning on. Here are a few of them:

  • Power Supply Issue:

The AC might not turn on due to a power supply problem, such as a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. In such a situation, check the circuit breaker and replace any blown fuses to restore power to the unit.

  • Faulty Thermostat:

If the thermostat is malfunctioning, it may not send the signal to start the AC. So test the thermostat by setting it to a lower temperature than the current room temperature and listen for a click indicating it's engaging.

  • Dirty Air Filters:

Excessive dirt and debris in the air filters can obstruct airflow, causing the AC to malfunction. Regularly clean or replace the air filters to ensure proper airflow and efficient operation of the AC.

  • Low Refrigerant Levels:

Low refrigerant levels can prevent the AC from cooling effectively and may cause it not to turn on. In such a case, contact a professional technician to inspect and recharge the refrigerant if necessary.

  • Faulty Capacitor:

A malfunctioning capacitor can prevent the AC's compressor from starting. Check for visible signs of damage or bulging on the capacitor and replace it if needed. This is a major reason why Panasonic AC compressor not turning on.

  • Condensate Overflow Switch Tripped:

If the condensate overflow switch is triggered due to a clogged condensate drain line, the AC may not turn on to prevent water damage. Clear any obstructions in the drain line and reset the switch.

  • Internal Circuit Board Failure:

A malfunctioning circuit board can disrupt the AC's electrical signals, preventing it from turning on. Inspect the circuit board for any visible signs of damage, such as burned components, and replace it if necessary.

I understood why my Panasonic air conditioner won t turn on and I hope now you can figure out the issue with your AC too.
