In Mumbai, I visited a society where landlords mentioned that bachelor not allowed in society. I had a hard time finding an apartment in the city but later understood why people hate the young generation. No one wants to take any blame or face any trouble and a bachelor tends to make a mess more than a family. At a certain age, especially when I am old, I too might avoid renting my property to a bachelor.

Being a bachelor I can understand the pain a bachelor has to go through. Firstly, you need to find a job. Secondly, you need to move and change your city, and thirdly, you need to find a house good enough to live in. And everywhere I go I have seen bachelors find a hard time settling in. Let me share with you some reasons why societies don't allow bachelors.

Why bachelors are not allowed in society Bangalore?

1. Bachelors are cool people and uncles cannot resist cool people. So, as the homeowners uncles say no to the face when they come to renting property! 

2. The second fact is that bachelors are smart. They know how to negotiate. They won't sell their kidneys and pay deposit money to settle in. And landlords cannot take the risk to let go of their tenants. Bachelors will shift to PG where they will get free food and Wifi. 

3. Bachelors know how to lead a fun life without thinking about kids, wife/husband and future. They come home late at night at times either due to work or they just want to chill. It’s just one life they and they understand it very well. Uncles get mad looking at their free and fun lifestyle 😛

Jokes aside I would say that renting properties to a bachelor can be challenging at times. Bachelors at times make a mistake that can create trouble in society. Creating a mess, partying, and doing illegal activities can not only harm the landowner but also the people of the society. As a citizen, we must follow certain rules to maintain the hygiene of society. One of the most common problems I have heard is that bachelors talk loudly which makes other people in society get proper sleep. Which is also wrong at some point.

I have seen many landlords renting out properties to bachelors in Bangalore. These landlords trust them since they do not create any trouble. Be a tenant or a landlord try to understand the perspective of every person and then jump to conclusions. Not every bachelor is a bad tenant, and not every landlord is a landlord who is against bachelors. So, it's better not to place a verdict so easily and blame society, the landlord, or the bachelor.
