Devaraja Nagar Nehru Nagar Saligramam Reviews and Ratings (20 Reviews)
The area feels safe and family-friendly. Daily needs are very close. Sri Raghavendra Swami Brindavanam Temple is a peaceful place for me nearby.
Devaraja Nagar is a decent place, but slightly crowded. I stay with friends, and parking is always a headache inside the lanes. Traffic builds up quickly near Virugambakkam junction. On the good side, basic things like pharmacies and supermarkets are very close.
This pocket of Saligramam is promising. Close to Vadapalani and well connected by metro, adds strong value. Families prefer this area because of schools like Avichi Higher Secondary School.
Devaraja Nagar feels quite good, very functional. Sooriya Hospital being nearby gives peace of mind. Metro from Arumbakkam Metro Station is reachable in a short ride. Small gyms and tiffin centres are scattered around. Good for daily life.
Devaraja Nagar is organised. Vadapalani Metro Station is close, very reliable during peak hours. Even late-night food is not an issue with plenty of eateries on Arcot Road. Streets are active and feel safe.

Rent is okay but houses are a bit old. All daily provisions and grocery stores are within walking distance inside Saligramam lanes. Water supply comes only for 2 hours every morning.
Vadapalani metro station is nearby, simplifying my daily work commute. Main road junctions get heavily jammed in the evening, but overall life is manageable here.
Inner lanes are very narrow and pavement patches are broken. Walking is risky because delivery bikes zip through without blowing horns. No proper footpaths around the block.
Excellent zone for students sharing flats. Plenty of budget eateries, messes, and fast food joints near the main street lines. The streets feel completely secure at night.
Commercial footfall is high due to the dense residential lines. Local body trucks clear the public bins regularly. Only problem is zero parking space for customer cars.
Power supply is quite stable with very few cuts. The neighborhood is safe and lanes are lit at night. Pharmacies and local clinics are just a 2 minute walk away.
Many preschools and kids hospitals are located within 1 km distance. The area stays lively until late night, so safety is not a fear. Streets get very crowded though.
I come here for commercial work often. The traffic congestion during peak hours is a massive pain. Finding a spot to park a car on the colony roads is impossible.
High rental cash flow because media and corporate workers prefer this central layout. Basic drainage works fine during normal days. Properties get occupied very fast.
The layout gets heavily waterlogged even during normal monsoon rains. Water enters low lying lanes and takes days to clear out. Inner drains are completely old and choked.
