Very pleasant and clean neighborhood..mostly locals live here and some professionals work remotely from here (like me)..i love that i'm so close to wonderla here..there are also many temples and parks nearby
there are popular landmarks here like kodangi lake and wonderla which attracts many tourists and visitors on weekends..sat sundays get immensely crowded and feels very vibrant.
transportation is the tricky part. u absolutely need your own car or bike as relying on apps like Ola or Uber can be a test of patience
The area hasn't developed fully yet...but with the upcoming infrastructure projects linking the peripheral ring roads, this can become highly desirable for the elite looking for sustainable lifestyle...
I wanted a quieter place without paying city rents. Kolathur RF suited me well because the rent is reasonable, and the surroundings are much calmer than the crowded parts of Chennai.
Buying a plot here five years ago has turned out well. More houses have come up around our street, and the locality still offers better value than many established areas nearby.
One reason we chose this locality was nearby schools like Vellore International School. The drive to school takes around 10-15 minutes, which is much better than our previous commute across the city.
My office is in SIPCOT Siruseri, so I travel through SH-110A every weekday. The route is generally smooth, but traffic near Siruseri increases noticeably during evening office hours...
I've spent almost 11 years in this locality, and the peaceful atmosphere hasn't changed much. Even with new residential projects coming up, it still feels less crowded than nearby suburbs.
My regular check-ups are at Sathya Sai Medical College Hospital. Reaching the hospital doesn't take long, which has made frequent visits much easier for both me and my family.
Whenever I visit here, I usually stop at the Sri Vedhavalli Sametha Sri Agastheeswarar Temple. The locality is peaceful, though public transport options are limited compared to central Chennai.
Affordable land is becoming difficult to find near the Siruseri belt. That's why I've been following Kolathur RF closely, as plots here continue to attract buyers looking for long-term appreciation.
I travel to Apollo Arts and Science College by bus. The journey is manageable, but bus frequency could be better, especially if you miss one during the morning hours.
I run a small grocery shop near Kayaar Bus Stop. Most of my customers are local families, while weekends bring extra visitors heading towards Wonderla and nearby attractions.
Kolathur is very green and quiet but not ideal for everyone..if u someone who has to travel everyday to IT hubs this will exhaust you soon..no transport connectivity here to commute easily
