The best thing about Kilpauk is that it's close to everything. The public transport options are good. It is close to Anna Nagar, Egmore and Chetpet. Schools and clinics are plenty. But it’s tough to find parking near most buildings.
Kilpauk has been my home for more than 25 years. It is a quiet place in the middle of the city. There are various groceries, retail shops, shopping malls and markets nearby. Only issue now is traffic near Kilpauk Garden Road
I work in IT and live in Kilpauk to stay closer to the city. It is well-connected by metro and bus. The area feels posh and peaceful. The rental flats are slightly expensive.
Kilpauk is nice, no doubt. But as an outsider, I found it a bit too silent. Area has charm and clean roads, but not much buzz. Good for living, not great for fast rental returns.
Attended a pooja in one of the old temples in Kilpauk. The area has many such spiritual places that are well maintained. Felt peaceful. Streets are narrow in some places, but people are respectful.
I moved here with my parents. There are hospitals, pharmacies, and clinics all within 10 minutes. It's ideal for elder people. But it lacks parks or open spaces for walking.
