The area is crowded, but the people are helpful. Not ideal if you prefer quiet residential life.

Convenient place with easy access to schools, and hospitals but the roads are narrow, and finding parking is always a challenge.

Houses here are old and you won’t find luxury here, but there’s a certain warmth to the place.

The area doesn’t promise huge appreciation, but gives consistent returns. Tenants are usually long-term.

I went there for temple darshan. The area is busy and noisy, and colorful.

Easy access to hospitals, schools, colleges, and markets. It is in the central location near Chennai’s business and cultural hubs. This place is also known as Vannarapettai during the older times. The area got it's name through North Chennai’s textile and Washermen history. It has an excellent metro, rail, and bus connectivity to all over the sub-cities. Traffic congestion and narrow roads is common here.

I stay near Sir Thiyagaraya College Metro, just a short walk away. Commuting is easy with metro and buses nearby. The area has several markets and eateries.

Old Washermanpet offers good potential for price appreciation due to its connectivity with multiple metro stations and railway links. It is close to business hubs like Central Business Park. Property prices are affordable now but expected to rise with infrastructure development.

The community is friendly and diverse. Commuting using the metro or the railway is easy. Local markets and temples create a vibrant neighborhood feel. Roads can be crowded, but overall it’s a safe place.

Old Washermanpet is a bit crowded, especially on Solaiappan Street. The access to hospitals like Apollo and Stanley Government Hospital is great. The area has some parks. Shops and malls are easy to reach. Overall, good for small families.
