Velu is not exactlt within Pune city centre so it actually feels bit isolated but very quiet and peaceful. There are small shops for basic groceries but for anything bigger we usually go to Pune or nearby towns.

My uncle lives here and I stayed with them while studying in a college toward the city side. Traveling daily to Pune can take time but buses from the highway are available. If you like quiet lifestyle, its a pretty good option

Our family has farm land here and we’ve lived in Velu for generations. Agriculture is still the main livelihood in the village. Its around 25 km from Pune city

What I enjoy most about Velu is the surroundings. Lots of open fields and hills around.

Anyone buying land here should check zoning and agricultural land rules carefully. It’s not the same as buying residential property in the city.

Living in Velu offers a perfect weekend retreat vibe while staying connected to work. I commute to Magarpatta Cybercity and Hinjewadi IT Park. The best way is via the Pune-Satara Highway (NH-48), which is smooth and efficient outside of peak hours. It’s an ideal spot to avoid city congestion while still being within reach of major tech hubs.

I love the serene environment here; it’s so much safer for children than the city center. My kids attend Little Wonder School, which is close by and very convenient. For health needs, we rely on Padalkar Multispeciality Hospital nearby. We also love spending our evenings at the local Velu Playground, which is a great open space for the family.

Velu is truly a hidden gem for those who enjoy open spaces and clean air. The surroundings offer a beautiful mix of hills and greenery, making it perfect for morning walks or cycling. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels like a breath of fresh air compared to the crowded city areas, offering a genuine sense of calm every day.

वेलूमध्ये राहण्याचा अनुभव खूपच शांत आणि तणावमुक्त आहे. मला शहराच्या गजबजाटापासून दूर राहायला आवडते आणि हे ठिकाण त्यासाठी उत्तम आहे. जवळच असलेली मंदिरे आणि निसर्गरम्य परिसर मनाला शांती देतो. अत्यावश्यक गरजा आणि काही महत्त्वाची दुकाने जवळच असल्याने राहणे खूप सोयीस्कर वाटते. निवृत्तीनंतरचे आयुष्य शांतपणे जगण्यासाठी हे एक आदर्श ठिकाण आहे.

मी पुण्यात नवीन नोकरीसाठी आलो आहे आणि वेलूमध्ये राहणे हा एक उत्तम निर्णय ठरला आहे. हायवेला जवळ असल्यामुळे शहरात कुठेही जाणे सोपे होते आणि येथील भाडेही शहराच्या तुलनेत खूप परवडणारे आहे. परिसरातील शांतता माझ्या अभ्यासासाठी आणि कामासाठी खूप पोषक ठरते. इथे राहणे म्हणजे निसर्गाच्या सानिध्यात राहून करिअरवर लक्ष केंद्रित करण्यासारखे आहे.
