Staying as a tenant here is affordable. The roads are improving, and water supply is good. Commute options are decent with the nearby railway station. Wish there were more cafés or entertainment spots around

Came to Kattankulathur to attend a friend’s wedding. It's a small, developing town with good train access. You won’t find big showrooms or theaters, but the environment is simple and warm.

Spent a weekend here while exploring colleges. The area feels student-friendly, safe, and walkable. Not much traffic. Some interior roads need maintenance, but otherwise a good

As a tenant, I feel quite comfortable here. My flat is near the railway station, so commuting is never an issue. It’s quiet at night, which I appreciate, though finding a cab late evening can be tricky.

I chose Kattankulathur because it’s cheaper than Tambaram and has good train connectivity. As a working woman, I feel fairly safe, especially in gated apartments. Limited shopping options, but great for peaceful living on a budget.

Bought a flat here five years ago. Rents have been steady due to student demand. The place is peaceful, and maintenance isn’t costly. Appreciating slowly, but I’m happy with the rental income.

A young community of students and healthcare workers reside in Kattankulathur. It is a flood prone area during heavy rains but bearable and easy to live. Bus commutation is very less and travel by own vehicle is preferrable. Due to Student population and healthcare workers the rent value has increased.

I stay here mainly because of my college, SRM is here. There is a potheri lake here which is a famous attraction. The traffic on GST road can be frustrating but still manageable. I wish it had more entertainment options or cafes to hangout at for students

Been here for 3 years. I studied in SRM dental college. This place feels like home but can't deny the flooding issues that has frequented lately.

Nice greenery and peaceful vibe in Kattankulathur. It is an underrated area in Chennai. It is also mostly student oriented because of the colleges. Area is safe too but be aware of the traffic near the SRM signal during college hours

Kattankulathur land prices have gone up now but back when i bought it, it was cheap. But it is still affordable than tambaram or chrompet. road condtions and connectivity should improve and this will be on the list of top investment localities

I am living near the Potheri station. It's chaotic and noisy but the rent is reasonable for the space I have got. But what i don't like is the lack of cleanliness and garbage disposal in some parts which makes it difficult to walk on streets even
